Effective May 19, 2026, the Shelburne Falls Fire District has implemented a temporary water restriction policy due to current water supply conditions.
Residents are asked to conserve water and follow the restrictions below until further notice:
- Garden watering is permitted before 9:00 AM and after 5:00 PM only
- Watering must be done using a handheld hose only
- Washing of cars, driveways, sidewalks, pavements, and other outdoor surfaces is prohibited
These measures are necessary to help protect the community water supply and ensure adequate water availability for essential needs and fire protection.
